Abstract
This paper explores the profound impact of Islamic architecture on historical monuments in Bangladesh, examining key examples such as the Sixty Dome Mosque, Lalbagh Fort, and the Mosque City of Bagerhat. Through a detailed analysis of architectural features, historical context, and cultural significance, the paper elucidates the synthesis of Islamic and indigenous Bengali architectural styles, reflecting the region's rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the paper discusses the enduring legacy of Bangladesh's Islamic monuments, their influence on contemporary architecture and urban planning, and the challenges and prospects for their preservation. By shedding light on the intricate interplay between religion, politics, and culture, this paper contributes to a deeper understanding of Bangladesh's architectural heritage and its significance within the broader context of Islamic civilization.
