Abstract
Handwriting examination is an important component of forensic document analysis. This study investigates the biomechanical and tribological factors affecting handwriting variation, focusing on neuromotor control, surface friction, and writing instrument characteristics. A controlled observational study involving 100 participants was conducted using different writing tools under standardized conditions. Samples were examined visually through forensic comparative analysis with emphasis on slant, stroke morphology, line quality, spatial geometry, and pressure patterns. The findings indicate that external physical factors mainly affect superficial handwriting characteristics, while core neuromotor writing patterns remain comparatively stable. The study supports the forensic principle that natural handwriting variation should not be confused with evidence of forgery or different authorship. The integration of biomechanics and tribology into questioned document examination enhances the scientific reliability of forensic handwriting analysis.
