Abdul Kalam. Through a detailed literary and socio-cultural analysis, the study investigates how Kalam’s personal journey intertwines with the larger narrative of post-independence India’s technological and socio-economic development. The paper examines the role of perseverance, leadership, and national service in Kalam’s rise from a small-town boy to a pioneering scientist, while highlighting his vision for a self-reliant India. The analysis emphasizes Kalam’s ability to blend scientific discourse with spiritual and ethical reflections, promoting a holistic approach to life and work. Furthermore, the paper discusses the significance of mentors and teamwork in his success and how Wings of Fire serves as both a motivational text for youth and a guide for leadership.
