The HMs reported in this area are: Ilmenite, Sillimanite, Garnet, Monazite, Zircon, Rutile etc. This set of HMs are generally referred as Total Economic Heavy Minerals (TEHMs). Around this area, Geological Survey of India (GSI) has carried out several cruises to generate baseline data and collected samples to report commodities having significant economic importance. In this paper a mathematical model involving statistical analysis has been carried out to study the corroboration between various data obtained by GSI. The extent of corroboration between known geological samples and the geophysical datasets like Magnetic Anomaly (MA), Free Air Gravity Anomaly data has been studied. Threshold determination was carried out using classical limits, Z-Score analysis etc. The multivariate analysis study has been used to estimate the degree of correlation. The stratigraphy has been interpreted from the single channel seismic reflection study. The deposition pattern is found to be guided by an inferred ridge. The detailed analysis has helped to demarcate a potential area of 2327.6 sq km enriched with TEHMs with water depth between ~ 0.3 to 100m isobath.<#LINE#>Bastia, R., Radhakrishna, M., Srinivas, T., Nayak, S., Nathaniel, D.M., & Biswal, T.K. The geo- heritage site falls in the Survey of India (S.O.I) topo sheet no. 43 N/4 and 43 O/1 with geographic coordinate (33°59'30.70"N 75°01'34.70"E) at an average elevation of 1871 meters above mean sea level. The Mandakpal fossiliferous site is spread over an area of 1012695 square meters, which host the repository fossil beds with a geological time record of 252.9 million of year, amidst picturesque exposures of Zabarwan Mountain Range in the north-western and the Wastarwan Mountain Range in the south-eastern side of the Kashmir valley. Due to its immense importance in the field of paleontology, sedimentology and environmental geology, the Regional Office of the Department of Geology and Mining, located in the summer capital of Srinagar, geologically mapped the area and subsequently, demarcated the boundaries of Mandakpal fossiliferous zone. Accordingly, in the year 2019 through Government Order No. 159-IND of 2019 declared the Mandakpal fossiliferous Zone as a protected fossiliferous zone, geo-heritage site within an area 1012695 square meters.<#LINE#>Ahmad.
